Check out what fell from the "cielo porteño" Sunday April 18.
They used to be the size of M&Ms, remember? They are now the size of tennis balls!

Mi Buenos Aires Querido: City tours and other interesting fun options
For those who want to just hang out in the city, reminiscence where "once upon a time ...", see what has become of "Mi Buenos Aires querido" .. following are some great options with some "extras". Valerie Manoukian can help you with these side trips, even get you tickets to a tango show or a soccer game at River o la Bombonera.
Trips organized together with “Eternautas” - a company led by historians (from the University of Buenos Aires) who offer cultural itineraries in Buenos Aires and its outskirts.
CITY TOURS
Images of Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is exceptional: dynamic, sophisticated and overwhelming. An exquisite combination of a European atmosphere and the charm of Latin American cities. This tour provides an in-depth introduction to its history, its architecture, the culture of its people, its anecdotes and secrets. A three-hour journey that offers the fundamental keys for understanding the paradigmatic areas of the city: the lively and frenzied downtown area, the “aristocratic” northern neighbourhoods and the working class southern districts. We visit the highlights of Buenos Aires, acknowledging the transformation of a village that grew into a mega polis.
Journey in a private bus: Centre (Plaza de Mayo – 1st Stop), Montserrat, San Telmo, La Boca (Caminito – 2nd Stop), Puerto Madero, Palermo Chico, Bosques de Palermo and Recoleta (Cemetery – 3rd Stop).
The Paris of South America
This walking visit focuses on the areas of Retiro and Recoleta, where Buenos Aires most clearly expresses its Parisian character, acquired in the early 20th century through its architectural styles and urban design. Plaza San Martín is one of the best examples of the belle époque, being the place where the upper class families settled and built their impressive residences at the turn of the century. We also visit other spots which evidently follow the French pattern: Alvear Avenue and Pellegrini square.
UN DIA DE CAMPO
A full-day event at a centenary Argentine estancia
La Mimosa, a traditional 137 year old estancia located 70 km from downtown Buenos Aires in the historical location of Exaltación de la Cruz, very close to Pilar and Luján. Participants are welcomed in the garden of this centenary house, with home-made beef empanadas and a glass of red or white wine. A guided tour takes you through the centenary house (from 1869) and a typical pulpería (traditional general-provisions store, bar and rural meeting point) built in the last century. Explanations are given of the story of this Estancia Argentina
DELTA DEL PARANA
A full-day trip through the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires
The northern suburb of Buenos Aires remains as one of the most attractive places to visit. We first visit San Isidro, a traditional residential area known for its streets´ beauty and its prominent mansions including those built in the seventeenth hundreds. We also visit Tigre: the impressive entrance to the Paraná delta, fully scattered by islands that can solely be accessed by water, dense vegetation and houses on pilots that can be appreciated on an hour long motor boat ride along some of its rivers. The journey ends with a stop at the local handcrafts and fruit supply market (Mercado de Frutos).
Journey: San Isidro’s historical neighbourhood (1st Stop), Quinta Pueyrredón or Quinta Beccar Varela (2nd Stop), Tigre, Puerto de Frutos (3rd Stop), motor boat ride though the Parana’s delta (4th Stop).
COLONIA
A one day trip to our neighboring country: Uruguay
Take a ferry across the Rio de La Plata to Colonia del Sacramento: a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Walk through the cobbled stone streets of this historic quarter. Visit its museums, light house and churches.
EL “NOA”: SALTA + JUJUY

El NOA (Noroeste Argentino – Argentina’s Northwest area) covers the provinces of Catamarca, Jujuy, La Rioja, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán.
In this opportunity you will visit Salta “La Linda” and Jujuy with possibilities to extend your program to La Rioja or Tucuman.
